Beginning to gather sounds and edit, and sound artists, projects and concepts that inspire me...
Sound artists and projects that inspire me today...contemporary, working amongst our natural world: https://www.aliceboyd.info/about ^Through her wonderful work with the 'found sounds' section on the Ffern podcast alongside Lia Leendertz whose almanac I am referring to, I was reminded of my previous discovery of Boyd's beautiful work, to which I am learning so much. These principles of pausing in nature and listening to the sounds are inspired by The Act of 'Deep Listening' developed by Pauline Oliveros, I am so excited to rediscover as this is so very much centred around this art trail project! https://www.deeplistening.rpi.edu/deep-listening/pauline-oliveros/ With this in mind, I am going to do more research and reflect on this in alignment with the development of the project...especially with the production of the soundscape and how I write about it, what time of day the live stream occurs and how I align this with notes and recordings of wildlife you can see at this time/light/wind/soil/sounds.... (thank you to my brother George for this burst of inspiration with this suggestion, helping me to piece together...almost like a 'shipping forecast'...or perhaps said without words, and just by what I field record).
