'Perfect Days' film by Takuma Takasaki and Wim Wenders.
What a beautiful film that so peacefully depicted the beauty-and sadness-in the mundane of life.... My new favourite word: 'Komorebi'-the Japanese word for the shimmering of light and shadows that is created by leaves swaying in the wind. It only exists once, at that moment. Literally meaning “sunlight leaking through trees”. The main character Hirayama with a beautiful smile, speaking so much without words, took time to admire this each day. The 'small' things....well, they aren't so small really. I hope to take inspiration from this delicate and gentle film within the pieces, soundscapes and how I choose to go about the creating process.
