Walking up Welsh hills
I aim to do a walk a day, discovering new routes in the beautiful nature and landscapes of South Wales surrounding me. On them, I will collate sounds, images, forage to gain a greater understanding of the history and life of the nature around me. Trying to listen to the stories of the land embedded, grown and intertwined for centuries.

On this walk in the glistening, crisp morning sun, I came across ancient dry stone/slate walls. This brought to life the reading I was doing about traditional Welsh crafts. I also came across what seemed like terracotta-clay-coloured earth in the river and streams...I plan perhaps to take a small sample and work with it to see if this might be a lovely material to work with in workshops centring around 'Hiraeth' and nature, using native and natural materials.
